whichever is the path of least resistance of course :) fwiw just tried with a new nvidia driver, latest rpcs3/clean install, and games ran from the disc folder instead of their own. i have 2 but it still doign the same should i do more or less, You don't effectively have 60fps because the physics thread is not keeping up, that game just requires more cores for now. I change it from fullscreen to windowed so i can see the FPS in the titlebar etc. If anyone knows how to fix please let me know. I'm using rpcs3.exe --no-gui "G:\Games\Consoles\Sony - PlayStation 3\BLUS30947\PS3_GAME\USRDIR\EBOOT.BIN". locked at 30fps and runs exactly as youd expect. RPCS3 v0.0.12-10921-97e26f9d Alpha | HEAD | Firmware version: 4.85 Performance is smooth and all visuals are working fine, making this likely another windows-only issue. Either buy the damn console/platform or upgrade your PC. It runs at 60-70 fps but doesn't feel that way. ever end up with the time to look into this a bit yet? both with fresh default rpcs3. yea, i dont really know what else to even do. Well, i was really hoping it wasn't the case but even with a brand new fresh RPCS3 it happens. only difference is the launch method. appreciate your time looking into it either way.

About a month ago, I posted an issue outlining the same thing, with images, logs, and system specs. It happens on both my machines. back from the gym. Nvidia GTEForce GTX 1650 16GB RAM.
Although I still don't know why this happens.
So it shows around 50 fps but the game is in slow motion... Set to Vulkan and LLME for SPU and PPU.
Is that what this is a frame pacing thing?
Of course being a user I have no idea what that means outside of some kinda focus issue or something. (or anything else i can help with testing/debugging wise). Will certainly post back once i dig up something relevant. Would be great if someone with the ability to do so could remove that label, unless of course more information IS needed? all is well.
I think this makes it obvious that this is a RPCS3 issue, that just presents itself differently on different hardware. if i launch the same game via command line, all is well. About to look into if its possible to post a bounty for someone to debug this somehow or something lol. Hopefully a resolution of this issue comes at some point. unless theres something else im overlooking. On the flip side the emulator is running really slow, like even loading the cache is ridiculously long. Question - Slow motion? As i mentioned in the OP i waited a good while for this to go in, and its central to my set-up as i play remotely. It’s what the rpcs3 wiki recommends for this exact problem. Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-9300H CPU @ 2.40GHz, 2400 Mhz, (can go up to 4.1GHz) 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s) I just updated RPCS3 today (the latest update) and finally most of the graphical glitches and errors are gone. With that option the fps dropped down to 29.56. same everything. also tried all nvcp options, forcing triple buffering, forcing vsync on/off. RPCS3 via command line is running in slow-motion and with missing graphics if launched with --no-gui.
I know RPCS3 doesn't have and speed-up or slow-down features right now, but I need some way to slow down a game so I can get past this one section. I just want to stay on top of it and i figured since its been about a month, i'd feel marginally less douche'y "bumping the post" so to speak.

this is with a 8700k and 2080ti too. Maybe test on another PC to see if it is some strange windows configuration issue on your machine. You signed in with another tab or window.
Mess with SPU Preferred Threads. I tried a completely clean boot with nothing but M$ services running. share. one last thing to test which is going to be a separate rpcs3 install. Without that option the game ran at a solid 29.99fps. It feels like it's in slow motion. tried through command prompt at desktop as admin. sorry was outside doing yard work all day, just now getting caught up on this. No such luck. I could reproduce it now and (with opengl) I'm getting like 29.5 fps with --no-gui. Agreed, I fail to see what more information is needed. RPCS3 is an open-source Sony PlayStation 3 emulator and debugger which currently supports Windows, Linux and BSD systems. No difference in graphics, music, or sounds. They're emulators, they're not perfect, and on a crappy PC/Phone, yes, they will be slow and buggy. I can take a vid if it'd be helpful. I just recently got the rpcs3 just for Skate 3, and the first day I had it, it was a little clunky/choppy frame rate, but playable, and then the next day I looked up what I could do to improve the frames, and then I changed some configuration settings, and it definitely improved the experience, but then there was an update for the rpcs3 and I installed it, and tried playing Skate 3, and it was unplayable, I was getting like 14 frames, and it was in slow motion, and the audio was constantly crackling.
GPU : GTX 1080ti Founder's No way as a developer to guess what could cause the different behavior based on launching via a double click within rpcs3 vs omitting that portion? How many cores would you need? you dip to 29.55 i dip to like 25-27fps and it causes all kinds of anomalies as per the OP. Or some step that is skipped when using the GUI vs otherwise.

The game works as expected no matter how I start it. same game. 100% Upvoted. I tried a half a dozen nvidia drivers going back months. the only thing shared between my 2 pc's are the type of monitor, and the make of the gpu. It feels like it's in slow motion. Successfully merging a pull request may close this issue. ogl and vulkan. Ignore the exploding vertices, I'm not sure how to fix them, but the frame pacing issue is still visible. The only difference I noticed was a ~0.5fps reduction with the --no-gui option. I would be chuffed to find out what information, exactly, is needed.
